The Founder of Nuna 5D

Hazel Alvarez, known as Nuna, is the founder of Nuna 5D Community Private Education Association.

Born to Dominican parents and raised in Washington Heights, New York, Nuna's work has been shaped by a lifelong relationship with children, families, birth, education, and the human experience.

She is a mother of two, wife, birthkeeper, doula, holistic educator, and author, with 23 years of experience as an early childhood educator. Her path has continued to expand through many areas of study and practice, including:
